Miele vacuum filters
Miele"s unmatched filtration is what makes their vacuums famous. Miele HEPA filters make the air you breathe hospital quality, removing 99.97% of microns 0.3 and smaller. Miele leaves not only your floors clean but the air inside your home as well. Miele also offers Active AirClean Charcoal filters that offer slightly lower filtration standards at a lower cost to consumers- but are ideal at removing pet dander smells. Either option will ensure the air released back into your home is healthy and pure.

Miele bags and filters: buy genuine to ensure top quality
Genuine Miele bags and filters have long been setting the industry standard for filtration and user convenience. Miele allows all their vacuum models to upgrade their filters to HEPA , this means air purifier quality filtration. Generic bags and filters often lack the quality you have come to expect from the name Miele.
What is the difference between Miele filter styles?
Miele offers three different style vacuum filters for almost all model vacuums they make (Super Airclean, Active Airclean and HEPA). Each filter achieves a different level of filtration ending with the HEPA filter. This ensures 99.97% of microns down to 0.3 in size and larger are filtered out leaving only pure air to be blown back into your home.
Miele vacuum bags features
The 9 ply construction traps all dust inside while still allowing for maximum airflow for greater motor function. This means for a dust particle to escape it must make it through 9 layers of cloth. The odds are not in the dust particles favor.
Random spun fiber construction means Miele has created the toughest vacuum bags on the market. Rigorous testing is done to ensure sharp debris that gets picked up cannot puncture the vacuum bags, therefore rendering it useless. Even nails are used during testing to make sure the vacuum bags walls hold up in even the most extreme circumstances. This is where quality cloth bags vastly out perform its paper bag counterparts.
A self sealing spring loaded top is built onto each Miele vacuum bag helping to ensure the dust trapped inside cannot escape upon disposal. This is an area where having Miele vacuum bags are far superior to bag less dust cup style vacuums. Upon emptying the bag less dust cup, many of the fine dust particles are released back into the air. This will not be the case with Miele vacuums.
Miele vacuum bags may look small but actually inflate to look like miniature pillows when filled. Miele bags hold between 2.6 and 5.45 quartz depending on your vacuum model. The debris picked up actually compress inside the vacuum bags from the powerful suction provided by the motor. This means you get maximum value out of your vacuum bags before disposal.
Each box of Miele vacuum bags comes with bags and replacement filters. This is to give customers the ability to change their vacuums filters with regularity. Doing this ensures better air quality and helps maintain maximum suction power. When you buy a package of bags you get all the necessary means to maintain high air filtration standards. This is not the case with many other brands who neglect the importance of regular filter change.
Miele vacuum bags: what makes them special?
Each style vacuum bags uses quality construction and materials to trap dust. Many other brands offer paper versions of bags…not Miele. Only cloth style HEPA bags are offered because Miele puts air filtration at the top of their priority list. Self sealing and tear resistant are a couple of features that separate MIele bags from the rest.
Miele vacuum filter features
The Miele HEPA filter will provide you with the highest filtration levels achievable by Miele. 99.97% of microns 0.3 in size and larger are filtered out. After air is siphoned through the filter by Miele’s sealed air system, air purifier quality air is expelled. This filter is a must have for allergy or asthma suffers. We also recommend the HEPA filter for consumers who truly want to breathe the purest of air.
Miele Active Airclean filters are also available for all model vacuum cleaners. This filter offers the second highest level of filtration available, for a reduced cost. The Active Airclean filters trap 99.95% of microns larger than 0.5. These filters also come with a charcoal layer that helps remove unwanted odors from the air. Pet owners or any user experiencing undesirable odor, this might the filter for you. These filters are featured in all the specialty pet model Miele vacuum cleaners.
The Super Airclean Miele vacuum filters are the ones issued in every box of Miele bags sold. They offer the bare minimum filtration Miele is willing to accept. Combined with the rest of the Miele filtration process, these filters still manage to release high quality air back into your home. A rubber seal is added to the edges of both Miele HEPA filters and the Active Airclean filters. This small rubber seal ensures air cannot escape around the filter. The air then has to go through complete filtering process. Vacuums that do not have a sealed system cannot effectively filter 100% of the air that reaches the filter. Miele has thought of this and fixed the problem with a thin rubber seal.
